Rear Admiral Hamzeh Kaviani who was speaking on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of a race among the Navy ships of Iran and the Caspian Sea littoral countries, the Sea Cup, in Bandar Anzali northern Iranian port said: Today the mighty Iranian Navy is not only the guardian of the regional peace and stability, but also it has a strong presence in the southern seas, in the northern parts of the Indian Ocean and in the other international waters, and the mighty Iranian Navy and IRGC Navy have appeared mightily in the region.
“We are now present in the North Sea, the Gulf of Finland, and by the side of the Russian Navy, and this is proving our strength and grandeur in such regions as the Mediterranean Sea to the whole world,” he added.
The deputy commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy added that presently the Iranian Navy is passing through the Suez Canal and Iran has proved that the usurper Zionist regime officials’ claims are all null and void.
“Today the Islamic Republic of Iran is the axis of stability for the region and has managed to both establish and safeguard security in the region’s main waterways and beyond,” emphasized Rear Admiral Kaviani.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy is a large and influential power in the region and the validities of the Iranophobia and maximum pressure projects pursued by the United States and the western countries are now expired.
The deputy Navy commander referring to the presence of Central Asian countries’ navies in Iranian Navy sea competitions said that navy teams from the entire Caspian Sea littoral countries are participating in those military games, noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s initiative in this respect is turning the Caspian Sea into a sea of peace and friendship, further contributing to boosting the regional peace and stability.
“We should not permit the aliens and those who are after the exertion of their hegemony in the region to strengthen their footsteps here,” he reiterated.
